Have you ever heard about Lobster? Of course you have. “Ooh! That expensive seafood” or maybe “The big shrimp I saw someone had at the seafood restaurant.” Well, what you know about lobster is somehow true. Today, Lobster Bali is going to tell you a brief explanation about lobster.
Many people think lobster is a bigger version of shrimp due to inadequate knowledge. It is not though, Lobster Bali will guide you through a bit of knowledge about it.
It is easier to say that Shrimps are more diversified than lobsters. Shrimps can live in saltwater, brackish water, and freshwater but lobsters live in saltwater and brackish water but not in freshwater. Shrimps are swimmers while lobsters are crawling or walking crustaceans.
Lobsters live in all oceans, on rocky, sandy, or muddy bottoms from the shoreline to beyond the edge of the continental shelf. They generally live singly in crevices or in burrows under rocks. Lobsters are omnivores and typically eat live prey such as fish, mollusks, other crustaceans, worms, and some plant life.
Also, lobster and shrimp primarily differ in their sizes and shapes. Shrimp mostly range in length from a few millimetre to around 20 cm (around 8 inch) and Lobster are typically no longer than 8 inches, but can grow up to 20 inches in length (it takes years and years to be this big)

The lobster was caught off the coast of Nova Scotia, Canada in 1977. Like most of the world’s largest lobsters, the Guinness World Record holder was an American/North Atlantic lobster. The Maine Department of Marine Resources estimates that this lobster may have been about 100 years old.
